Matt Pinsker

Matt Pinsker is an accomplished lawyer and writer. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Matt has a diverse legal career that includes work as a federal prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. 
 

In 2018, Matt was mobilized by the Army and attached to the US Department of Justice as a Special Assistant US Attorney (SAUSA). As a federal special prosecutor, Matt handled cases involving the trafficking of drugs, firearms, and even people. For his service, he was decorated by both the Army and the Department of Justice. 
 

After finishing this assignment, he returned to his law firm and resumed criminal defense. His written works include legal articles and publications on homeland security, international law, and cybersecurity. The diversity in his publishing credits attests to his versatility and talent in different legal areas. 
 

Besides his impressive career and legal education, Matt is proud of other awards and accolades. He is a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from the US Department of Justice (DOJ), an award given to less than 1% of DOJ employees each year. In addition, he has been recognized as one of America's Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers Association
